Between a broken TV and a stray comment about helpdesk pricing on Hacker News, Girish found the spark that led to Freshworks (then Freshdesk) — co-founding it in 2010 to create a better way to serve and delight customers. What began as a single product focused on customer service has since grown into a global software company with a full suite of products empowering teams everywhere.
Over the next decade, with backing from investors like Accel, Sequoia, Tiger Global, and CapitalG, Girish led Freshworks from a Chennai apartment to Nasdaq (FRSH) — one of India’s most iconic SaaS journeys. Along the way, he’s stayed true to what drives him: building products that delight, mentoring founders, and helping India’s startup ecosystem thrive. A founding member of SaaSBOOMi and an investor in over 60 startups, Girish brings this same spirit to Together — shaping the next wave of Indian product companies.
Outside work, Girish can be found watching cricket on the field or Thalaiva on screen. He’s passionate about grassroots sports as the founder of FC Madras, a youth football club in Chennai, and still harbors a quiet dream of producing a film someday. His guiding belief: happiness lies in doing the small things — and that product management, much like cinema, is all about great direction.
